- in dire need of maintenance, renovation, or the wrecking ball - shows just how much Auckland prope

[Homed header] Hi {NAME}, It could be a bargain for somebody, but [this neglected Papatoetoe home]( - in dire need of maintenance, renovation, or the wrecking ball - shows just how much Auckland property values have shot up since the current owner bought it in 1986. Back then, the owner, now in her 70s, paid $133,500. It’s anybody’s guess what it will sell for when it auctions on Tuesday with a $1 reserve, but the 2021 RV is $1.675 million, and the section is 1429m³, giving plenty of options. The agent is letting the house speak for itself in his listing – his sales pitch is essentially just two sentences: “$1 reserve – this is all you need to know. This is selling, no questions.” He says he’s had interest from “do-up investors” as well as developers and others looking to renovate to create a family home. Whatever it goes for - and however teeny the 1986 sales price looks from this distance - the fact remains that the vendor is going to need a chunk of money if she wants to stay in Auckland. And that seems a fair assumption, considering she no doubt has family and many other connections built up over the decades. Happy weekend!
