Hi {NAME}, Â Did you manage to get all your Labour Weekend jobs done last weekend? Did you re-seed

[padding] [If you are unable to view this message correctly, click here]( [padding] [stuff header] [spacer] [padding] Hi {NAME},  Did you manage to get all your Labour Weekend jobs done last weekend? Did you re-seed your lawn? Risk putting in your tomatoes [(knowing full well, it may be too soon)?]( Fix your chicken coop? Start on a new landscaping project? I’m afraid I failed in all these outdoor endeavours, but I have a good excuse: I went away for the long weekend. Instead of taming the jungle that is my backyard, I enjoyed the expansive beauty of New Plymouth’s Pukekura Park. There, they’re not afraid to mix camellias and kawakawa, harakeke and hydrangeas, with stunning results. Even though gardening is not my thing, I did take inspiration from it. I also loved seeing the Winter Gardens at Rotokawau/Virginia Lake Reserve in Whanganui - much more suited to a houseplant-lover. Because for now, I accept that my gardening is limited to caring for houseplants, and sporadically mowing a small section of lawn. I find enough challenges with indoor gardening. I can’t keep button ferns alive, [let alone maidenhairs.]( My happy place is syngoniums, maybe pothos at a push. But I have noticed that I’ve picked up some weirdly specific knowledge over the past few years collecting. Test yourself with this [little “fact sheet” I put together.]( There’s always this weekend for the outdoors jobs.
