[padding] [If you are unable to view this message correctly, click here]( [padding] [stuff header] [spacer] [padding] Hi {NAME}, My parents have just bought a tiny relocatable home, and I was excited to tour it. It’s two-storeyed with fancy staggered-tread stairs, a full size shower, and the cutest wee log burner. It doesn’t have many of the essentials yet - such as a fridge, washing machine, beds, bedding, kitchenware, art for the walls - but what fun to shop for all those things. It’s like playing with a dollhouse - not quite miniature, but near enough. [Architecture grad Craig Jones always wanted]( a tiny house, but his change of career to paramedicine took him away from the plan for nearly 20 years - until needing a transportable home for work placements brought the dream back to life. His new place has an uncommon gable roof (uncommon for tiny homes, anyway) and is built to be totally off-grid, with a composting toilet, heaps of water storage, 10-panel solar array, fireplace, and heat transfer system. And it’s made from structural insulated panels (SIP) instead of wood or steel. Next time he gets sent to Dunedin for work, he’s going to be snug and warm, whatever time of year it is. Happy weekend and especially Happy Father’s Day to all the dads, step-dads, and father figures out there.
