[Pinterest]( Hi everyone, Not so long ago, I spent a very happy year living in a converted granary in North Yorkshire where badgers, red deer, pheasants and squirrels were more frequent visitors than the postie. Peering at them out the window while eating a Jaffa Cake or Twiglets became a bit of a thing for the kids and I, and it’s a fond memory we often revisit. So now, when I think of country living I imagine golden sunshine, a soft, rolling landscape, verdant meadows and the gentle hum of friendly, non-stingy insects. The popularity of country style never wanes, probably because its hallmarks are enduring, simple to achieve and can be easy on the budget if you know what to look for. Today is a big day on the Canterbury calendar, it marks the end of three days of the country literally coming to town for the Canterbury A&P Show.
