[Strategic Tech Investor] August 12, 2017 Dear Strategic Tech Investor, When I'm putting together a big special report - for example, the cryptocurrency project I'm working on now - I tend to get a kind of "tunnel vision." While I can work on my everyday alerts and reports at the same time, I can't focus on any other big projects. I put my head down - and work. That's my style. It's not Floyd Mayweather's style, though. Instead of putting on the blinders to prepare for his big-ticket fight with Irish mixed martial arts brawler Colin McGregor, the controversial boxer's head seems to be elsewhere. What's this have to do with tech investing? Mayweather - probably the best boxer, pound for pound, over the past two decades or so - took to Instagram late last month to talk up the virtues of an initial coin offering (ICO) from Stox. On Aug. 2, Stox raised the $30 million it was seeking, but that doesn't mean the yet-to-launch "prediction market" platform will actually deliver for its investors. It's still a huge gamble. In a nutshell, an ICO allows investors to use coins - units of cryptocurrency (Bitcoin, Ethereum, Ripple, Litecoin, etc.) - to back a startup company. This all happens in the blockchain, which exists entirely online in a decentralized manner. ICOs are almost entirely unregulated by traditional markets or government entities at this point. These are essentially the IPOs of the cryptocurrency/blockchain world. --------------------------------------------------------------- Treasure Trove 18X Bigger Than Central Park Found]( Near an abandoned ghost town in Death Valley, a mysterious discovery valued at $20.4 billion has ignited a frenzy to control it. [[Satellite footage](] --------------------------------------------------------------- Millions are made here. But millions are also lost. Frankly, the entire ICO concept is encased in risk. Hacking is commonplace because not all of the developers are as skilled at secure coding as they say. Plus, companies frequently fail to deliver anything close to what they promise. While last month the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission did file an opinion on a recent case involved an ICO fraud, plans for enforcement are still nonexistent and slowly evolving. Then there's general volatility of value. Like IPOs, I encourage my members to stay away from most ICOs and find their windfall profits elsewhere. However, there are a few that buck the trend. These are the ICOs that meet all my Tech Wealth Blueprint "rules." They're the ones that I think are safe - and will be incredibly profitable. In fact, in a few weeks I'll be sharing some of these Michael A. Robinson-approved ICOs exclusively with my Nova-X Report readers. My team and I are still completing our research - we're in "tunnel vision" mode - but I'm excited about what we're working on and can't wait to get it out there. Best of all, we'll be finishing up the hard research at our desks and on our phones rather than worrying about getting punched in the head repeatedly in some Las Vegas boxing ring.
