Tweets Pour In for EV Company That Gained 35% With 249M Volume

Though the Nasdaq fell 482 points for steep losses of 3.6%, there were a surprising number of symbols with huge activity that were being talked about on social platforms. Here are your social media highlights to catch up on for Tuesday. Twitter The inclusion of Mullen Automotive, Inc. (NASDAQ:MULN) on Insider Monkey's “10 Penny Stocks to Buy in March” article (also published on Yahoo! Finance) sent shares soaring 35% on Monday. The EV company drew plenty of attention on Twitter, with one user tweeting that the symbol, “Could fly short term, definitely worth a shot,” while another was more comically blunt in that it “will rip faces.” There were many early-in-the-day tweets along the lines of “if we break $1.02 with strength there is not much resistance to $1.2,” which proved to be exactly true as the symbol rocketed to $1.22 in the afternoon before settling at $1.06 for the day.
