Knowing how to spot the price action that screams “trade!” or “ignore!” is a crucial skill. I often throw around the phrase “price action is king,” but what does that really mean? Well, let me tell you ... Price action is all about reading the movement of a stock's price on a chart. It tells us whether traders are buying, selling, or hanging tight... And recognizing it can help you make smarter moves in the market by spotting high-probability trades and knowing when to steer clear of those lower-odds setups. The sooner you [grasp the power of price action]( the sooner you'll start making more profitable trades... So I’m breaking down price action in simple terms and showing you examples of [weak and strong price action]( so you can find hot trades and avoid lower odds setups. Sponsored Hidden Market Loophole = Incredible Gains?! Ever wondered how to make money when the stock market is closed? Tim Sykes has the answer, and it's a game-changer … He turned $12,000 into $1.65 million while in college… Now he’s sharing one of his favorite strategies with you today. It’s a hidden loophole that regular folks are using to unlock incredible gains… This isn't your typical trading strategy — it's revolutionary. [Watch the video here now.]( Unlock The Power of Price Action When I get asked about stocks in [Pre-Market Prep]( I like to use it as a teaching opportunity. Even if a stock doesn’t look like a trade to me, I don’t tell people they’re stupid and move on... I explain why a stock looks like a good or not-so-good opportunity. Maybe the stock has a setup but no volume ... Or maybe it’s a big gainer but the chart looks weak. That was the case yesterday… When I was asked about IN8bio, Inc. (NASDAQ: INAB) in premarket, the stock was slowly fading lower. I said it should be on your watchliszt but set alerts at a much higher level so you don’t have to waste time watching it… Because the price action since 4 am Eastern was weak. Look at the chart below… Between 4 am and the open, it attempted and failed to get above VWAP twice. Then it did manage to break above VWAP and immediately slammed back below it with a big red candle. It’s like the stock was [allergic to VWAP]( — it wanted nothing to do with it. And after it failed to hold VWAP it started fading. This is what weak price action looks like and it equals a lower odds setup… INAB chart: 1-day, 5-minute candle — courtesy of [StocksToTrade.com]( Now let’s look at an example of strong price action… Stocks that have the potential to run can hold [key levels]( and break through [resistance](. Here’s a five-minute intraday chart of Tupperware Brands Corporation (NYSE: TUP) from last year… TUP chart: 1-day, 5-minute candle — courtesy of [StocksToTrade.com]( Notice how it’s holding up in premarket, spiking and consolidating, all while trending along VWAP... Even when it had a [dip at the open]( it held VWAP before breaking the premarket high. From there it consolidated again while holding VWAP. Then it broke out and a $1 per share upside move. [[ratio]  ]( That’s strong price action and the kind of charts you want to focus on. Price action rules everything. And if you think a weak stock could reverse and go higher without you — [set alerts near key resistance points](. If the stock gains enough strength to get back up to key levels, you’ll get notified. In the meantime, you can free up your mental capital to focus on other stocks with higher odds. If you want to follow along with me and all the stocks I’m watching — join StocksToTrade Advisory.
