Tuesday Update! 🎬 Live with Good Day Sacramento!

Hello {NAME}! Well, we have almost made it to month 12 out of 12 of this year! Anyone else asking how in the world did that happen??? This last day of November has been a great one, as I was filming a new segment for Good Day Sacramento TV this morning! We filmed an awesome segment on loving your leftovers throughout the holidays and beyond. I shared my four favorite tips on how to utilize your leftovers in the best way to reduce food waste and save heaps of money - a win-win of course! This segment was completely LIVE which I haven't done in a while as this past year I normally record via Zoom and the TV producers edit the clips before it airs. Today was pure live streaming and I'm not going to lie I was holding my breath a bit as I had three MASSIVE dogs + little Reilly over at the house during the time of the recording! As they were all in the spare bedroom, I was praying they would be good with no barks, no door scratches, and much to my surprise, they were ANGELS! I guess they understood my explanation that if there were no barks during recording, that many treats would follow! Phewf!! It is full of protein and very satisfying while still being a great way to sneak in ALL the crisp fresh veggies that your body is craving after a holiday weekend! [Go to the Four Homemade Dressings recipe post out here.]( Jaden's Weekly Tip: Give Your Slow Cooker Some TLC! If you are like me, your slow cooker gets a lot of use during the fall and winter months, so why not give it a little TLC with a deep clean! Simply fill the cooker with water then add ½ cup of white vinegar (or 1 full cup for a 6-qt cooker). Then add in ½ cup of baking soda (or 1 cup for a 6 -qt cooker) slowly allowing bubbles to dissipate as you go. Cover and allow your slow cooker to slowly deep clean on LOW for 1 hour. After the time is up, use a sponge to clean the slides, after it is cool give it a wash in the sink with warm soapy water and you have a sparkling deep cleaned slow cooker!
