After Vice President Kamala Harris announced Minnestoa Governor Tim Walz as her running mate the two appeared in Philadelphia together for a rally. During the rally Walz said, "In Minnesota we respect our neighbors and their personal choices that they make. Even if we wouldn't make the same choice for ourselves, there's a golden rule, mind your own damn business." < Walz: In Minnesota we respect our neighbors and their personal choices that they make. Even if we wouldn't make the same choice for ourselves, there's a golden rule, mind your own damn business. [pic.twitter.com/TRQNlbySlE]( - Acyn (@Acyn) [August 6, 2024]( The hotline [generated thousands of reports](, with individuals being reported for activities like playing basketball, walking their dogs, and even attending church. The administration continued to monitor these reports until November 2020, even though the hotline remained operational up until June 2022. One instance of a complaint involved a concern about a church service not adhering to the mandated "legal requirements." It was reported that an upcoming event at an apostolic Lutheran church was expecting a large turnout with meals being served, which was perceived as a violation of legal requirements. The trend of such reports continued, with people calling in to report lists of "non-essential" businesses that remained open or didn't strictly adhere to the government's masking guidelines. A circulating recording of the hotline carries a prerecorded message informing callers they've reached the "Office of Public Safety Stay At Home Hotline," and any information they provide is considered public. The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension (BCA) has reported that around 10,000 COVID-related emails were sent, a significant number of which were spam. The complaints ranged from reports of a large gathering at a basketball game, small groups exercising at a local park, to someone complaining about an excess number of people in a store. Other complaints included people not practicing social distancing, a police officer hosting a birthday party at his residence, and even someone upset about people purchasing non-essential items at a convenience store because they were bored at home. The fact is choosing Walz brings up something that Democrats have tried to put in their past: the year 2020. A big part of their platform was attacking former President Trump over his handling of the pandemic. Then when Biden took over mandates and other policies angered many. Since then the Democrats have tried to say it's all water under the bridge. Well...now it's back. Now that it's 2024 we also have the knowledge that many of those policies imposed by Democrat leaders were unnecessary and wrong. Thanks to Kamala we get to talk about it again.
