[The Startup Investor]
Dear Startup Investor reader,
Neil Patel here.
As coronavirus paralyzes the nation - and the world - with fear, I'm reminded of one of the reasons I love angel investing so much.
While the stock market has been battered by this global crisis, the vast majority of angel investments remain completely unscathed.
I hope that doesn't sound like I'm bragging; I own plenty of stocks myself and have been far from immune when it comes to the impacts of coronavirus on the economy.
But it's nice to know that despite the market's volatility, my private equity portfolio will do just fine.
This seems like it becomes more important every single year. After a 10-year bull run, the last 12 months have been turbulent in the public markets to say the least... and it's been a great comfort to me to know that the majority of my assets are anchored in a safer harbor.
Keep that thought in mind over the next few weeks. Something tells me that this coronavirus situation isn't going away anytime soon, and we need all the silver linings we can get. I hope that this one brings you comfort.
I'll be back soon with more updates.
Until next time,
Neil Patel

What "Experts" Are Telling You about Bitcoin Is Wrong...
A flight to safety is when investors sell what they perceive to be higher-risk investments for safer ones. Traditional, run-of-the-mill flights to safety include assets like gold or U.S. treasuries.
