I could hear the chants of "Wolves in 7" in Uptown. Photos by Carlos Gonzalez/Star Tribune Well, that was a game of basketball, wasn't it? Anyone who lived within sight of downtown Minneapolis could surely hear the chants of "Wolves in seven" emanating from Target Center as Anthony Edwards and company led the Denver Nuggets by nearly 50 points during the fourth quarter of last night's game. It sure felt like I could, anyway. (And to be completely honest I was also streaming the game.) The Wolves' 115-70 victory over the Nuggets means that Sunday's matchup is do-or-die for both teams. Whoever wins moves on to the Western Conference finals against either the Dallas Mavericks or the Oklahoma City Thunder.
