Read time: 1 min. 09 sec. Oof. Yesterday, I lost a lot of money. Why? Because the stock market did this: (that's whole lotta red...) My first reaction... fear. "This is really scary, what's going to happen next?" I found myself refreshing my brokerage app, over and over and over. The numbers would not stop going down! Then, I did something even more stupid. I went on social media: pure panic. What's going to happen? Will I lose my job? Will my savings be evaporated? But then, I snapped out of it. I remembered, that none of this is in my control. At all. The only thing I can control? My business. My future. So... I simply got back to work. Building a better product. Talking to more customers. And writing emails like these. Again I will say it: Your business is the only thing you can control. Which is kind of an amazing feeling. As a founder, it's in all your control... everything: your time, your energy, your focus. Most people don't like that idea. But successful founders embrace the sh*t out of it. No, there are no guarantees of success, but at least you can sleep at night knowing your future is in your hands. There will always be bad financial days like yesterday. But I’d rather control my own destiny every day of the week than have it be in someone else’s hands. What are you waiting for? To help you reach your goals, I've decided to extend enrollment for our $1M ideas academy. Every day, you'll build alongside a small group of founders, execute on the most important things, and get clarity and confidence on exactly what to build. TODAY IS THE LAST DAY TO ENROLL IN THE IDEAS ACADEMY. This might be the last time we do this... so don't miss your chance to join. [Enroll today and get $200 off.]( (Academy included in all access plan)*. Once you're inside, join the private Slack group and our community concierge will get you enrolled right away.
