we’re launching something exciting... tomorrow! Read time: 1 min, 04 sec 99% of people love Starter Story. But, of course, there is always that 1%. The haters. And yesterday, I had a big hater on my hands. I'll spare you the details, but here's what he said: Pat, you're not building a "real product", therefore, I do not respect you. You're just a content creator. Stop pretending that you're a "real founder". Not gonna lie… This hurt for a second... "Is Starter Story not a real product?" "Am I not a real founder." But then I remembered something. When I was starting out, I used think exactly like this guy. I used to judge other businesses based on how "hard" I perceived them to be. "Creating content. That must be easy. Building a SaaS is way harder than building a media company". This is not only false, but it came with a bigger problem: I used to mistakenly associate success with difficulty. I thought that, in order to be successful, you had to do something hard. This is a very dangerous (and limiting) mindset - and it might keep you poor forever. Now I know better. But... it took me years to realize one of the biggest secrets to building a $1M business: You get ZERO extra points for difficulty. In fact, your whole goal is NOT to play the game on hard mode. It is to play the game on easy mode. So... what does easy mode look like? If you're looking for a $1M business idea, you have to remember that all successful businesses do one thing and one thing only: They simply solve a problem for their customers. And often, it's a problem that the founder experienced themselves. So... what if I told you... you could find 1000s of problems, simply by asking yourself simple questions about your own life. Questions like: What happened today that was annoying? What is something I wish I was better at? What is something that consistently makes me feel bad? What took me a long time to get done yesterday? What do I find myself complaining about often? I can find 100 $1M business ideas simply by asking myself these 5 questions. You, yes you, have a $1M business idea sitting right in front of you… if you just paid attention! Ask anyone who's built anything successful - they will tell you the same thing. For every problem in the world, 99% of people will complain about it, and only 1% of people will do something about it. The 1% are the entrepreneurs - and that is how (and why) they get rich. We've been working on something big that is going to make it even easier. Tomorrow (Friday) I’m launching a brand new course: How to Find a $1M Idea. It’s packed with tactics and strategies I’ve actually used to start a $1M business. And I’m doing something special for my email list: For the next 24 hours, you can pre-order this course and get 40% off.
