A Message from David Boone: Helping Canadian Families Get Back to School with Confidence To our cust

[View in browser]( A Message from David Boone: Helping Canadian Families Get Back to School with Confidence To our customers,  September is always the most exciting time of the year for us at Staples. With some Canadian students already back in class, and others preparing to head back to school this coming week, our stores have played an important role in helping you navigate the new realities of working and learning. As Canada’s back to school destination, it’s a role that we take great pride in, and I’d like to share how we’re continuing to help you face the year ahead with confidence.  New look, new products, and a safe, efficient shopping experience This past year, we reset all our stores across Canada, adding more than 500 new and notable products, a wider assortment of technology, new Clean, Safe and Well aisles, elevated style and design offerings for workspaces, and so much more. We’re also excited to introduce our new working and learning concept stores in Edmonton, Quebec City, Regina and Guelph, showcasing our new, innovative retail concept.  To help you shop in-store with confidence, our stores continue to follow the [ShopSafe™ Program]( to help maintain a safe environment for our associates and customers. In-store health and safety protocols include physical distancing guidelines, all-day disinfection, face mask requirements, sanitization stations, and a [ShopSafe™ app]( that gives you the option to join a virtual queue in-store during peak times.  I’m immensely proud of our associates who continue to go above and beyond in ensuring our customers feel safe and supported as they outfit their classrooms and workspaces.  An improved online experience with fast, free delivery on all orders With more Canadians shopping online, we’ve improved the experience at [staples.ca](. We’ve expanded our online product selection, and have added new 3D-imaging and augmented reality on more than 300 products, to help you see how an item will look in your home or office. We’ve also introduced voice search capabilities, enhanced order tracking, and implemented a new self-serve return process.  Contributing to our communities Community is more important now than ever, and we value the role we play in the communities we serve through our network of 300+ stores across Canada. Earlier this year, we announced a [long-term partnership with MAP]( called Even the Odds, which aims to eliminate inequalities in our communities. I’m proud to share that our customers and associates raised $550,000 in support of [MAP]( during our first fundraising initiative this June. Staples Canada will match those contributions with $500,000, to total an astounding $1.05 million. Our 16th annual [Staples for Education]( fundraiser is taking place now, with a goal to help students head back to school with the essentials they need to be successful. To date, the annual fundraiser has raised over $15 million. We appreciate your support in driving change to help make a difference in the lives of Canadians through these initiatives.  I want to express my gratitude to you for continuing to turn to us for support and expert advice in these times. No matter what the year ahead holds for us, let’s move forward, together, with confidence.  Sincerely, David Boone CEO Staples Canada [Facebook]( [Twitter]( [Pinterest]( [YouTube]( [Custom]( [Custom]( STAPLES® is a registered trademark of Staples, Inc., used under license by Staples Canada ULC. ®†™†Trademarks of AM Royalties Limited Partnership used under license by LoyaltyOne, Co. and Staples Canada ULC. Text with a very high Flesch reading ease score (about 100) is straightforward and easy to read, with short sentences and no words of more than two syllables.
