[Stansberry Digest] Dear Reader, I read an incredible story in The New York Times recently... The article was about a NASA research engineer named Ryan McClelland. His job is engineering hardware components for our space shuttles and developing new, better parts for future space shuttles. In the past, he said that he would maybe be able to go through a few iterations of a prototype component a week. But now, today, he's going through 30 to 40 per hour. In other words, he went from being able to produce 2 or 3 components a week to well over a 1,000. It's simply incredible, right? At that rate, he's potentially increasing his productive output by over 4,000% per week. So, how's he doing it? [By harnessing the power of AI.]( But here's where things get even more interesting... The designs the AI is spitting out are things no human would ever develop. Here's a direct quote from McClelland: "The resulting design is a third of the mass; it's stiffer, stronger and lighter... It comes up with things that, not only we wouldn't think of, but we wouldn't be able to model if we did think of it." And when they tested these parts, they were deemed to be completely superior to what they were using before AI. The point of this story is that AI was arriving at its ultimate goal... but it got there in a way no human would have thought of. [And that is also the case with the AI investment technology I got to witness the results of during a first-of-its-kind event on AI and investing.]( The team behind it took thousands of data sets... poured them into this AI-powered investment tool... and told it to predict the stock price of any individual stock in the market 30 days in advance. ... then they essentially instructed it to "figure it out any way you want." Like the chess-playing AI programs, this AI powered investment tool started making some moves that seemed a little bizarre... But I think that once you see the results yourself, you'll be as impressed and as excited as I was...
