Here's what's coming up... FEBRUARY CLASSES February 4th - Actors: Your Step-By-Step Guide to Getting Representation Spencer Robinson is your Stage 32 Educator. Spencer is a literary and talent manager at Art/Work Entertainment who's been in the industry for over twenty years. Audrey recently signed a writer she met through a Stage 32 Script Service consultation. Whether your goal is to write a pilot script that sells or to write a sample that gets you staffed in the writers’ room of a TV show, the first step is to learn the basics of writing a TV pilot. You’ve seen Sara's work on HBO, The Hallmark Channel, Starz, Showtime, internationally, and in theaters. Each of her projects has featured award-winning talent and international distribution. She field produced the Emmy-nominated docuseries MCMILLIONS for Mark Wahlberg’s company, which premiered at Sundance in 2020, and she is in development on several feature films and series.By the end of your four sessions, you'll know how to find investors, how to nail your pitch, and how to close on your money raise. Kate launched her writing career when she wrote, directed, and produced her original play REVOLVING DOOR in London. After its successful three-week run, Kate took her production on tour to the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, where it received rave reviews. Since returning to the states, she has been staffed on multiple shows, including CASTLE, CSI CYBER, NCIS NOLA, BLINDSPOT, among others. In this six-week course, you'll work with the instructor and a handful of similarly ambitious and creative writers to break an episode of the network procedural THE ROOKIE: FEDS, including the A, B, and C-story, using a virtual whiteboard. Rebecca is the Vice President and Head of the Warner Bros. Television Workshop, the premier writing and directing program for artists looking to launch their television careers. As an extension of her role developing new talent, Rebecca helped launch Warner Bros. digital brand Stage13, overseeing the critically acclaimed SNATCHERS, which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival and SXSW, and SPECIAL, which premiered on Netflix and garnered four Emmy nominations. In this lab, you will be working directly with Rebecca in a virtual class setting and also during one-on-one online sessions as you write your TV spec script to help you land a job in a writers' room or take out to market. Anna began her career as a development executive at Nickelodeon, then crossed over to prime-time television working at CBS and ABC in drama development and programming before working in management. Over 8 intensive weeks, Anna will work closely with you and a small group of writers to map out and actually complete your Historical Fiction TV Pilot Script. Aimee Schoof is the co-founder of Intrinsic Value Films and has produced more than 35 feature films. Of those, nine have premiered at the Sundance Film Festival, four at the Tribeca Film Festival, three at SXSW, and one at LA Film Festival, Toronto, Venice, New York FF, New Directors/New Films, and Berlinale, to name a few. You’ll complete this lab knowing how to make your script marketable with a plan of attack to find the right team to produce it. Van has been a Voice Actor for over 20 years and co-owns Boutwell Studios, a Post Production Audio Facility, located in Birmingham, Alabama. He’s voiced for NASA, Valvoline, BBVA Bank and Pandora, among many others. Most recently Van and his team won a Cannes Gold Lion for their work on Radio Recliner. He will show you the common pitfalls, roadblocks, and voice actors face while teaching you the tools, strategies, and confidence to use your voice to build a reel, nail the session, and book jobs. You will have assignments throughout the lab and will receive one-on-one analysis and coaching from Van. Plus, Van will give you guidance for the next steps in your voice acting career. Colleen Labella is a producer and the Director of Development for Leslye Headland’s company, Shoot to Midnight. She has read hundreds of pilots and met with countless writers. She has sold numerous television series to various networks, and she is currently in development with projects at FX, Hulu, Freeform, and Lucasfilm. Her television credits include SINGLE DRUNK FEMALE, ALMOST FAMILY, and the upcoming Star Wars series, THE ACOLYTE. She also has a number of films in development, including Catya McMullen’s GEORGIA MERTCHING IS DEAD.
