You might have the characters in your head, pieces of the plot or even set pieces, but have you figured out how to put it all together cohesively? Or, perhaps you need the motivation and accountability to make your television idea a reality. Writing great television is most successful when you go through a process. That process includes creating an outline for your story then diving into writing the actual script. A great outline will keep you structured and can save you an immense headache from unnecessary rewrites once you type FADE IN on the page. But, where do you start with your outline and how do you know what elements you will need to set yourself up for success? World-class Stage 32 Educator Liz Dickler is here to show you how to write a killer outline. Liz is an industry veteran who was the former VP of Lionsgate Television and A&E Studios, as well as an executive at ABC Studios. She’s worked on hit shows such as the Emmy-winning ORANGE IS THE NEW BLACK, CRIMINAL MINDS and more. For 8 weeks, in this first level outline lab under the direct guidance of Liz you will learn what makes a successful outline based on her experience with Emmy-winning shows, plus she will work one-on-one with you to pull out your story beats and get them on the page. You will be held accountable to make your idea come to life and shape it on the page, all in a small group setting with fellow writers with the same goal as you. And, best of all, Liz will be taking her first level lab and give you the option to move to a private level two lab where you will then begin to write your actual script under the guidance of Liz which will be followed by a level three lab where you master your pitch. Liz will be by your side on the journey from your outline to your script to your pitch. This is an exceptional opportunity only available through Stage 32 to work with a leading industry veteran on your own television project. If you are serious about wanting to write your next script be sure to sign up early, because there are only 10 spots available and once they are gone, they are gone. You will meet weekly with Liz and the writers' group on Zoom, plus have one-on-on meetings with Liz and be linked with her via email during your entire writing process.
