[Squaw Valley open in honor of Joe Zuiches] [in honor of Joe Zuiches] SQUAW VALLEY OPEN TOMORROW In honor of Joe Zuiches The Squaw Valley Alpine Meadows Family is deeply saddened by the [tragic event] this morning, and we extend our deepest sympathies to the family and friends affected. The decision to operate Squaw Valley tomorrow was presented to the leadership of Squaw Valley Ski Patrol. Revealing incredible strength of character and resilience of the men and women of our world-class ski patrol team, our patrol leadership asked that we run the mountain and do so tomorrow in honor of Joe Zuiches. We want to give a huge thank you to our patrollers, groomers, lift mechanics and ALL mountain operations teams who make it possible for us to enjoy these magnificent mountains. We thank you for working through this storm cycle that provided over 23 feet of snow in 23 days, and for every other storm cycle that allows us to ski and ride our favorite terrain. Give an operations team member a big high-five next time you see them on the slopes. The [Joe Zuiches Memorial Fund has been established] and is available for contributions.
