Temps are chilly on the upper mountain and we’re looking forward to light, good quality snow. We had extremely strong ridgetop winds this morning at Squaw and Alpine; fortunately, winds are starting to subside and we anticipate less of an impact to our mountain operations. Gusts maxed out at 111 mph at the crest at 5 am, since then, sustained 60 mph winds dropped to the 40 mph range with gusts of 60 mph. With the exception of Emigrant, which remains on a Wind Hold, all scheduled lifts are projected to open at 9 am at this time.
