[Image] Happy Friday! Here’s this week’s smart money recap! In today’s Dark Money Trades rundown: - 🪙 Insider trading disaster for former NFT exec - 💰 Recap of 2 interesting smart money bets from this week - 🔫 Ben’s Extra Bullets: 3 additional ideas for the market next week Read time: 3 minutes 🚀 [Dark Money Scoop: Trading Disaster for NFT Exec]( 🪙 Image source: Midjourney Got an insider throwback for you today! Remember Nathanial Chastain? If the name sounds familiar… It’s because he recently got a jail sentence for insider trading at NFT platform OpenSea… While he worked there as their head of product. 🙄 Nate was responsible for deciding which NFTs would show up on OpenSea’s homepage… And while that might’ve been fine if he wasn’t trading them… That’s exactly what he did. Nate would buy these NFTs before HE featured them… They would shoot up in value, being on OpenSea’s front page… Then he’d sell them for multi-triple-digit profits! Some internet trading detectives even figured out he was doing this… And compiled data on how much he was earning on these bets… Gains like 194%… 391%… and 525%! At the end of the day, to put it lightly… Nate done messed up… 🤷 But it’s a great reminder that smart money movers and shakers are making insider bets all the time… And we have the chance to capitalize on those moves in our own trading. 💰The Biggest Smart-Money Bets of the Week💰 $449.39K bearish bet on NVDA DEC 1 $480 puts @ $4.85 (seen on 11/27) $1.93MM bullish bet on PDD DEC 1 2023 $117 calls @ $5.00 (seen on 11/27) How’d these big bets do? NVDA stock got rocked in a bad way yesterday, dropping around $20 through today’s open. These $480 puts that hit my smart money scanner at 3:49PM on Monday, went from around $4.85… To a high of $18.20 this morning, for a peak potential move of 275.26%! A bummer for NVDA enthusiasts, but a welcome move for this trader! As for PDD… wow. This Chinese e-commerce giant had an incredible earnings performance… And skyrocketed at Tuesday’s open. These $117 calls went from $5.00 at the time they were bought… To a high of $28.37 today, for a peak move potential of 467.4%. Whoever made that trade either made a big gamble that paid off… Or had some key information suggesting that PDD was about to take off the next day. 🔫 Ben’s Bullets for the Week 3 interesting ideas I’m keeping an eye on going into next week: - LVS DEC 29 2023 $47 calls, above $46.20 - SCHW JAN 19 2024 $67.5 calls, above $61.50 - UPST JAN 19 2024 $32.5 calls, above $29 Before I leave you for the weekend… If you haven’t seen my important announcement… You’re gonna want to see [this short 2-minute video]( I just recorded… With an urgent message for all traders ahead of this coming week.
