Happy Thanksgiving! Here’s what’s going on in the world of smart money today! In today

[Image] Happy Thanksgiving! Here’s what’s going on in the world of smart money today! In today’s Dark Money Trades rundown: - 😱 How to stay productive (and keep improving) when you’re not actively trading - 💰 2 interesting smart money bets from this morning - 🔫 Ben’s Bullets – 3 big ideas for the market this week 🚀Dark Money Lesson: Technical Analysis Time 📈 With the market closed today, you need to hear this… When you're not actively trading, you should be studying. Finding the right way to study can be different for everyone, but I can share some methods that work well for me. When the options market is closed, I focus a lot on chart patterns. During busy trading hours, I’m often looking at short-term charts, which doesn't leave much room for detailed study. So, I take time after the market closes to look at longer-term daily and weekly charts. This is my chance to get into the details without the rush of live trading. And with the entire market shuttered for Thanksgiving, this is the perfect time to brush up on your technical analysis. Here's what I do when marking up charts: Spotting Trading Ranges I draw horizontal lines on the chart to show where the stock usually goes up to (resistance) and where it often falls to (support). This helps me see the range in which the stock is moving and informs the key levels I’ll watch during an active trade. SPY YTD daily chart — courtesy of [StocksToTrade.com]( Highlighting History As a history major, I view historical market moments as crucial bookmarks on a chart. I use vertical lines to mark big events in the stock's history. This helps me understand how the stock might behave in the future around similar events (like an earnings report). NVDA YTD daily chart — courtesy of [StocksToTrade.com]( Observing Trends By drawing lines under the ups and downs in the stock's price, I can see the overall direction it's been moving in lately. This gives me a visual map of the chart’s trend with a clear line to follow. If a chart breaks below an uptrend (or out of a downtrend), I’m on high alert for potential trading opportunities. AAPL YTD daily chart — courtesy of [StocksToTrade.com]( These marks on the chart aren't just to make it look interesting. They help me plan my trades. (Look how much AAPL dropped when its long-term uptrend broke in August, and how violently it surged when its long-term downtrend broke in late October…) This is why studying charts when the market's closed is super important. Putting these visual markers on your charts helps you understand where the stock might go next and when might be a good time to trade. If you skip this study time, you might miss out on some great chances to make a profit. 💰The Biggest Smart-Money Bets of the Week💰 🔴 $2.57 million bullish bet on AAPL DEC 20 $250 calls @ $3.15 (seen on 11/22) This is a BIG one… Someone is betting $2.57 million that Apple Inc. (NASDAQ: AAPL) will surge more than 30% in the next 30 days! It goes without saying that this is a ‘smart money’ bet to take note of… AAPL has a nearly $3 trillion market cap, which means it would take $900 billion in additional inflows for the stock to move 30%. And this trader thinks that this could happen by December 20. Don’t be surprised if you see AAPL flying. 🔴 $2.4 million bullish bet on TSLA NOV 24 $245 calls @ $2.42 (seen on 11/22) Another ‘smart money’ trader thinks that Tesla Inc. (NASDAQ: TSLA) could bounce as much as 4.5% by tomorrow afternoon … and they’re willing to bet $2.4 million on it. Looking at the big picture, this appears to be a ‘dip-buy’ trade… TSLA dropped nearly 3% on Wednesday, and this trader is simply betting that the stock will recover its losses by expiration. Watch TSLA closely tomorrow. If this trader is correct, we could see the stock make a quick move back towards $245 before you can say “cybertruck.” 🔫 Ben’s Bullets for the Week 3 interesting ideas I’m keeping an eye on in the market this week: - AFRM NOV 24th $26.50 calls - UAL NOV 24th $40 puts - KEY NOV 24th $12 puts Happy holidays and happy trading, Ben Sturgill P.S.
