Holly Hand, a senior project manager at Neuralstem (now Palisade Bio Inc., NASDAQ: PALI), had a secret. Neuralstem was overseeing a pivotal drug trial. But in July 2017, she discovered her company's clinical drug trial flopped. But instead of keeping it under wraps… She couldn't resist tipping off her partner, Chad Calice. 🙄 Chad seized the moment and dumped all his Neuralstem stock, avoiding a whopping $103,875 in losses… And he didn't stop there. Chad shared the secret with his uncle, who also cashed out, saving $14,434. The next day, Neuralstem's stock took a nosedive, plummeting by half! Then, with his insider foresight, Chad bought back in at rock-bottom prices. Unfortunately for Holly and Chad, their trading moves were tracked by the SEC… And they settled for over $325,000. Neither admitted guilt, but the penalties spoke volumes — crime never pays! Let’s look at some of this week’s insider activity! 💰The Biggest Smart-Money Bets of the Week💰 $3.42MM bearish bet on FSR NOV 17th $7.5 puts @ $3.70 (seen on 11/13) $1.37MM bullish bet on XOM NOV 17th $100 calls @ $4.69 (seen on 11/13) This week, we’re looking at two insider bets that came through the unusual options scanner. First, there was a ton of bearish activity on Fisker Inc (NYSE: FSR)… I’m talking $8.26MM into different, short-dated puts! Specifically, $3.42MM went into the $7.5 puts expiring at the end of this week. FSR is already trading at around $4, so it will be interesting to see what happens this week. The second smart money bet I’m looking at this week is on Exxon Mobil Corp (NYSE: XOM). Several big smart money bets came through for XOM right at the end of the day… With $1.37MM going into the $100 calls that expire this Friday… And another $269.22K into the $102 calls expiring this Friday.
