[Image] Happy Monday! A new week brings fresh smart money opportunities for traders like us. Let’s dig in! In today’s Dark Money Trades rundown: - ⚔️ Pharma “shadow trader” in hot water for trading merger info - 💰 2 interesting smart money bets from this morning - 🔫 Ben’s Bullets – 3 big ideas for the market this week Read time: 3 minutes 🚀 [Dark Money Scoop: The SEC's War on Shadow Traders]( ⚔️ Image source: Midjourney Buckle up, today we’re looking at an ongoing insider trading saga. 🍿 It all started back in August 2021, when the SEC filed a lawsuit against Matthew Panuwat, former exec for biopharmaceutical company Medivation exec. They claimed he made $107k doing illegal "shadow trades" on a competitor's stock, based on insider info about his own company's merger with Pfizer. 😱 What's the SEC’s definition of shadow trading? When someone trades a competitor's stock using confidential intel on their own company. The SEC said this was insider trading, plain and simple. Research showed guys like Panuwat were getting busy with these shadow trades, hoping to fly under the radar. Now fast forward to today… There's been a major new challenge to the SEC's shadow trading crackdown! ICAN – an investor nonprofit (yeah, it’s a thing) – filed a brief, arguing the SEC overstepped by not getting congressional approval first. They said the Supreme Court's "major questions" doctrine blocks big regulatory moves without Congress signing off. And suing over these suspicious trades was too "major" a change, according to ICAN. A federal judge allowed their brief, despite SEC attempts to block it. So…will this "major questions" argument put a wrench in the SEC's case? We'll have to wait and see! But ICAN's ready to stop regulatory overreach in its tracks. They successfully used this argument in crypto cases, and now aim to take down the shadow trading crackdown too. ⚔️ Who do you think will win? The (potentially?) insider-trader, Panuwat… Or the SEC? Could go either way… But in the meantime, we’re still gonna use insider activity clues to help us make smarter trading decisions. Now, let’s get into some of this week’s smart-money moves! 💰 The biggest smart-money bets of the week 💰 $1.08MM bullish bet on PPC MAR 15th 2024 $28 calls @ $1.61 (seen on 11/6) $116.46K bullish bet on META NOV 10th $325 calls @ $0.92 (seen on 11/6) This week, we’re looking at two intriguing smart-money bets that came through the unusual options scanner today. First, these two trades came through for Pilgrims Pride Corp (NASDAQ: PPC)… Both on calls expiring on March 15th, 2024 ($28 and $29 calls)… Both at the exact same time… And both were over $1 MILLION each! They’re a ways out, but these are pretty big bets, and after PPC broke its highest level since September 2022… I’ll definitely be keeping an eye on PPC. Second, I just saw these META $325 calls that expire this Friday, 11/10, show up in the last minute of the day on the scanner. With this $116.46K bullish bet expiring in just a few days time… I’m very interested to see how this bet does through the end of the week. META closed today just under $316, so it’ll have to make another jump higher. 🔫 Ben’s Bullets for the Week 3 interesting ideas I’m keeping an eye on in the market this week: - COIN NOV 10th $88 calls, or $95 calls above $88 - SQ DEC 15 $55 calls, above $50 - PLTR JAN 19 $28 calls, above $20.50 Now, last up, I have to remind you about the urgent live training I’m doing [tomorrow at 11:45am ET…]( Where I reveal how I leverage the power of technology to help find actionable “smart money” trade ideas… That could be setting up for a big move very soon. Plus, I’ll share the EXACT trade and details on one ticker that’s got a ton of insider activity riding on it… Meaning it could be gearing up for some explosive movement! You’re gonna get a ton out of this, so before you miss it… [Add tomorrow’s training to your calendar here]( That’s all for today, catch you tomorrow for more! 📈 Ben Sturgill   66 West Flagler Street STE 900 Miami, Florida 33130 United States [Click Here to Unsubscribe]( **Our gurus teach skills others have used to make money.
