For browsers, the top response was Netscape Navigator. For service providers, it was America Online. And for search engines, the winner was Yahoo. Best Responses I remember the dire warnings when leaving AOL’s walled garden for the internet. Basically, “Abandon all hope, ye who enter here.” - ich.ni.san I’m so old I remember when Yahoo! wasn’t yet a “search engine” so much as it was a directory of websites.
