The [LilyPad Sewable Electronics Kit] lets you explore the wonderful world of electronic sewing (e-sewing) through a series of introductory projects using the LilyPad system. Youâll learn how to sew basic circuits to light up LEDs and control them with buttons and switches. Experiment with a pre-programmed circuit that reacts to ambient light levels on the new [LilyMini ProtoSnap]. In addition to LilyPad LEDs and battery holders, the kit comes with two different ProtoSnap boards that let you explore the circuit before you sew the pieces into a project using conductive thread.

The [SparkFun Mini GPS Shield] equips your Arduino Mini with access to a GPS module, µSD memory card socket and all of the other peripherals youâll need to turn your Arduino into a position-tracking, speed-monitoring, altitude-observing wonder logger. The shield is based around the [GP-735] GPS module, a 56-channel GPS receiver featuring a uBlox 7th generation chip set and an up to 10Hz update rate. The board also uses a level shifter, so thereâs no need to worry about the logic voltage of your Arduino Mini.

[Flip-Pins] are a fantastic new way to add headers to your breakout board. Designed by Fliptronics, Flip-Pins are the third generation of the Integrated Circuit (IC) pins that can be soldered into a PCB and that look and act as much like an IC pin as possible. With the unique plastic aligner, the pins are held 0.100" apart, with a 0.062" solder tail exposed.
Each of the pins comes in a black plastic sleeve, to keep them aligned while soldering. Once soldered, the sleeve gets removed, and you are left with headers that can easily fit into a breadboard or IC socket with the greatest of ease. We offer [8-pin], [14-pin] and [20-pin] lengths, and these can easily be doubled up for even longer lengths.

Here at SparkFun, our [Eagle libraries] are the epitome of our open-source philosophy. Every device weâve ever prototyped with, and every package weâve ever stuck on a red board, lives somewhere in that collection of .lbr files. Unfortunately, so too does did a lot of garbage. Over the past half-year or so, our internal DFM (Design for Manufacturability) team has been working to clean up those Eagle libraries. And yesterday we pushed those changes to the master branch of the [GitHub repository].
