{NAME} – Two years ago, on January 6, 2021, the very existence of our democracy was threatened and, for the first time in American history, the peaceful transition of power was interrupted. The insurrectionists have not been defeated. The attempted coup on that day may have failed, but its architects have been emboldened and they are, in fact, planning the next one. Today, we’re going to start fighting back. The Democracy Defense Fund is an organization committed to saving our country from the authoritarian traitors who seek to destroy it — but we need your help. [Will you join our pro-democracy movement by splitting a donation between the Democracy Defense Fund and Southern Progress, team? Any amount helps in our fight to save democracy.]( You know my uncle. He started the “Big Lie” and he continues to traffic in the right-wing extremism that puts our country at risk. We must stop him and his loyal cronies and those, at all levels of government, who continue to undermine our democracy. That’s why I founded the Democracy Defense Fund — and it’s why Southern Progress and I are asking for your help now. We need resources to support organizations who are committed to protecting the right to vote and preserving our Constitution, just like Southern Progress. This includes an all-out effort to hold the House and save the Senate but also to support campaigns at the local and state level in order to take back state houses and preserve election integrity. All of that is necessary in order to defend our democracy, friend. And that’s what we’re committed to do here at Democracy Defense Fund. [This will only be possible if we all do our part — starting right now. So, will you split a donation between the Democracy Defense Fund and Southern Progress today?]( Thank you, -Mary   – Mary     Paid for by Southern Progress PAC. SouthernProgressPAC.com.
