Another major highlight, The Leshantang Collection - Treasures of Chinese Art from the Tsai I-Ming Collection, achieved double its estimates with near 95% of the lots sold above high estimates. Among other highlights, Sotheby’s saw a particularly strong performance for Chinese Art, with its sale of Classical Chinese Paintings realising its second highest total ever in the company’s history. Luxury Week also saw outstanding results including The Infinite Blue, which fetched among the highest prices ever achieved for a diamond at auction in Asia. Watches had a standout performance, realising nearly double the total achieved last season, led by a Richard Mille RM53-02, the first of its kind to ever come to market. LANDMARK SALES TO COME: HONG KONG & SINGAPORE This November, Sotheby’s will be presenting the first offerings from Pierre Chen’s legendary cellar The Epicurean's Atlas in Hong Kong. Assembled over forty years with care, connoisseurship and a keen palate, the wines from the revered cellars of Pierre Chen is by far the world’s largest and most valuable wine collection ever to come to auction. The first in a global series, three live auction sessions will be staged at the Mandarin Oriental on 24 and 25 November.  In our ongoing 50th anniversary celebration, we will be returning to Singapore to host a highly curated art exhibition from 28 November to 1 December and stage Sotheby’s first-ever online spirits auction in the city-state. LOOKING AHEAD TO 2024 Innovation has defined our 50-year history in Asia. In the second half of 2024, upon the highly anticipated opening of our Maison at Chater House in Central Hong Kong, we will present a new sales calendar, together with a multitude of novel experiences. Our Maison will uphold Sotheby’s vision in Asia to promote wider accessibility to exceptional objects and unique experiences to the public. It will as such enable a calendar spread across the year, with live auctions hosted in the same location. Moving beyond our traditional Spring and Autumn series at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, Sotheby’s enhanced Hong Kong calendar will be spread into dedicated marquee weeks at our Maison, and held throughout the year.
