Hi {NAME}, This is a special update from Mike Stelzner. Just when you thought you had all of your marketing techniques figured out for 2016, Facebook goes and changes everything. Facebook Live: major updates! Facebook Messenger: I haven't even touched that one yet. Facebook News Feed: Don't get me started. This is the plight of the social media marketer. And it's not just Facebook. We need to stay current on all these changes. When you fall behind, it costs the business (and could even cost you your job). Outdated tactics are real problems for social marketers. And dare I confess... sometimes I hear that little voice in my head whispering, "You don't have what it takes." About 18 months ago I hit a stopping point. I had gone too far down a rabbit trail. I was distracted. I wasn't tracking what we were doing. Everything was on autopilot. And our social media efforts just slowly drifted off track. Sound familiar? I assumed we were fine because all the "vanity" metrics were improving. Boy was I wrong. The results were discouraging. I freaked out and declared, "Houston, we have a problem!" Our main business objectives were not being accomplished. We were throwing a lot of time and money at efforts that just didn't deliver. I knew I couldn't be the only one facing these challenges. So I set out to solve them--for me and for our community. I leveraged the unique relationships I have as Social Media Examiner's founder and the guy that explores what's changing in social media on my weekly shows. The result: the Social Media Marketing Society was born last summer. It's an exclusive Society for social media marketers, one that never existed before. Imagine thousands of marketers coming together regularly to train and support each other, guided by Social Media Examiner's staff. It turned out to be a big hit: Detailed live trainings, three times a month, along with live video hangouts. Ongoing online trainings were just the fix social media marketers were looking for. "Best investment so far for my career," said Pat Mills. “I’ve only joined a few communities in many years of doing this, but already this is the best of them. Very glad I joined,” said Rob Swick. What about you? [Enrollment in the Social Media Marketing Society is now open for 2016.] You can save $300 on your annual enrollment if you join by Friday, May 6th, 2016. This week only: If you sign up for annual enrollment, we'll include a Social Media Marketing World 2016 Virtual Pass. Yes, every single session from Social Media Marketing World 2016 will be immediately available to you (a $697 value)! Isn't it time to invest in your ongoing professional development? Stop the drift and don't let the newest social media updates slip by. [Go here to see if the Social Media Marketing Society is a fit for you.] I hope to see you on the inside. Text with a very high Flesch reading ease score (about 100) is straightforward and easy to read, with short sentences and no words of more than two syllables.
