The Jets have won a game NFLonFox/Twitter JETS 23, RAMS 20 -- 17-point spread. 0-13. 2008 Lions. 2017 Browns. Trevor Lawrence. Doesn't matter. Jets 23, Rams 20. GIF'd above: Frank Gore's endearing reaction after [his game-clinching]( third-down conversion. Gore, 37, has played in 240 regular season games (most by a running back as of Sunday), nine playoff games and a Super Bowl -- and a big play to clinch a 1-13 record in perhaps his final season means that much to him. Respect.
- "Happy we got the win," [said]( Gore. "Just because of how hard we work every day."
Three more things:
- The win for the Jets was the biggest spread upset (+17) in the NFL [in 17 years](. The largest lead of the game was 17 by New York, and the Rams never led.
- With Ty Johnson's Sunday [touchdown]( catch, the Jets have now scored on eight-straight opening drives. The difference on Sunday was that they didn't stop scoring.
- Sam Darnold (22 of 31, 207 yards, one TD) eclipsed 200 yards for the first time since Week 4, or six games ago. It's been that type of year.
OK, now the reality: The win for the Jets -- while nice for the players on the 2020 team -- puts them at 1-13, the same record as the Jaguars, who [own the tie-breaker]( by virtue of an easier schedule, which seems ... trivial.
- The fact is, if this win results in the Jets not drafting Trevor Lawrence, it could wind up being a painful memory for every Jets fan.
The Jets have the Browns and Patriots left, while Jacksonville has the Bears and Colts. On SNY.tv:

Game 14: The Giants' offense stalls in a second-straight loss Brad Penner/USA Today BROWNS 20, GIANTS 6 -- Playing short-handed due to COVID-19 and injury, the Giants fell uneventfully to the Browns on Sunday night, losing out on a chance to reclaim the NFC East lead from Washington. Three more things:
- The Giants had three red zone trips in their first three drives, but wound up with only three points. Joe Judge chose to go for it on fourth down twice, the first resulting in [this]( half-baked play in which punter Riley Dixon threw to a triple covered Nick Gates.
- The game was a flashback to the Giants' 1-7 start, when the defense would hold and hold and hold until the flood gates opened, turning a low-scoring game into a double-digit loss.
- In NFC East action, the Football Team and the Eagles lost and the Cowboys won, meaning both Dallas and New York (5-9) sit a game behind Washington.
