Trouble viewing? [Click here.]( Daily Debunker 27 June 2018 Uncivil liberties. “Civility” seems to be the buzzword of the week, as talking heads continue to debate the ramifications of a restaurant owner [telling]( White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders to leave because she works for President Trump — never mind that Trump’s presidential campaign was among the most uncivil in living memory. Then Democratic Congresswoman Maxine Waters was upbraided (including by Trump himself, who described Waters once again as having a low IQ) for encouraging people to “create a crowd and push back” if they encounter members of the Trump administration. But this week’s trophy for incivility surely goes to right-wing provocateur Milo Yiannopoulis, who e-mailed a reporter that he “can’t wait for the vigilante squads to start gunning journalists down on sight.” (We’re still waiting for President Trump’s reaction to that one.) Naturally, the controversy over uncivil speech trickled down to the dankest, troll-infested corners of the Internet, where a meme was cooked up accusing “liberal” protesters of calling for the assassination of Republicans. The claim is utterly false, however, and the image used to support it digitally altered. Nor is there anything particularly “civil” about lying. [Read more]( Rumor Rundown FEMA barges.
