The iPhone 15 event countdown is on, the best of IFA 2023, Google Pixel 8 revealed Created for {EMAIL} | [Web Version]( September 8, 2023 CONNECT WITH TECH RADAR  [Facebook]( [Twitter]( [Instagram]( [Youtube]( [Tech Radar]( [SIGN UP]( ⋅ [WEBSITE](  [] Welcome to the Week in Review [] Welcome There’s nothing quite like coming back from a long break and facing what can only be described as a looming maelstrom of activity. Sure, this week had its charms, including new GoPro devices that both disappointed and elated, a return for Polaroid, and some really spiffy mid-range GPUs from AMD, but there was really no escaping the ticking clock that is next week’s huge Apple Event. Perhaps I’m more preoccupied with it than some because it will be me next week (September 12), on the Cupertino Campus, sitting in the Steve Jobs Theater and learning exactly what Apple means by ‘Wonderlust’. Yes, most of it will be about the anticipated all-new iPhone 15 (will there be three or four new phones? No one is sure) but I’m also expecting to see a pair of new Apple Watches, updated AirPods, and maybe even more. There will always be the possibility of a huge surprise – the storied “one more thing”, but I actually don’t expect anything like that this year. Apple CEO Tim Cook will talk about the current shiny object, the upcoming Vision Pro mixed reality headset, but mostly as an update. There won’t be news there. But let’s not get ahead of ourselves. We have so many awesome stories this week across mobile, computing, software, streaming, and, of course, the big IFA show in Berlin. Enjoy – and take a deep breath with me as we prepare for next week.
