New major league baseball rules, including a timing clock on pitchers and larger bases, are a good touchstone for leadership lessons, writes Michael Peregrine, a partner at international law firm McDermott Will & Emery, who highlights the need to challenge tradition, prepare for the unknown and increase efficiency and flexibility. "No matter how successful an initiative may appear to be, confident leaders will recognize the inevitability of adaptation, and welcome it," Peregrine writes. If your company keeps getting ghosted by new hires, it's time to assess your hiring process to identify where some disconnects or encounters could turn off a candidate, even after they accept the job, write consultants and coaches Three and Jackie Carpenter. "Candidates are judging you at every single touch point, so it would be wise to dig into your candidate experience and see what you could do to make a better impression," they write. If you have a disorganized boss, approach them with a set of solutions to help both of you instead of criticism, writes Lolly Daskal. Giving your house a good "spring cleaning" does more than declutter your space, it enhances mental health by creating both a sense of calm and a new feeling of energy that comes with a clean, organized space, says experts. "There's a peace of mind from having an aesthetically pleasing place to wake up in and return to at the end of your workday, or, if you're working from home, just to have your workday feel smooth and organized and put together," says clinical psychologist Dawn Potter. Scientists have discovered small glass spheres that may store up to 300 billion metric tons of water on the moon's surface, according to a study published in Nature Geoscience. The spheres form when meteorites collide with the moon and react with ionized hydrogen atoms from solar wind to form water that is trapped inside the capsules. Full Story: [Live Science]( (3/28)

There is one member of our band that plays each week at the spiritual community I lead in South Carolina who is a great musician, but we joke that he "can't organize a sheet of paper." He's like the absent-minded professor who forgets where he put things a few seconds after changing tasks. [As Lolly Daskal suggests](, we came to him with some solutions for his problem, including a notebook to keep all of his weekly music in and tabs to help him find which songs he needs and keep them in the order we'd be playing them. He was very receptive to our suggestions because we didn't come at him with criticism or frustration, but with a sense of caring and a system he could easily use. He still gets lost from time to time, but now he's sure we have his back and will help him if he forgets to use the system or relapses. Have you helped others -- even your boss -- get organized?
