The late Marriott CEO Arne Sorenson, who died this week from pancreatic cancer, was known for his honesty and integrity with fellow CEOs, employees, customers and his advocacy for business to help all stakeholders, not just shareholders. Sorenson was a strong CEO in terms of performance, wrote IHG Hotels & Resorts CEO Keith Barr, "but also in the way he championed progress on important social and environmental issues and represented our industry with such grace in the best of times and in the most challenging of times."
