[California companies add female directors following law](
Following California's law that was signed last year requiring corporate boards to include female directors, 244 state corporations in the Russell 3000 have added at least one female director and 41 firms added two, according to Equilar. Companies "recognize that the times are changing, that we have a number of qualified women and that companies have to start reflecting that," says California state senator Hannah-Beth Jackson.
