Google lost its search antitrust case and was declared to be "a monopolist, and it has acted as one to maintain its monopoly" due to paying billions to Apple to be the default search engine on its devices, as well as paying for the same position on browsers and devices from Mozilla and Samsung, said Judge Amit Mehta of the US District Court for the District of Columbia.
