After 10+ years of testing, the secret is this ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ Data. Not design — not copy. You need a data-driven approach to how you’re optimizing your landing pages. Otherwise, you’re taking a shot in the dark as to why your pages aren’t high-converting. It’s the difference between making a tweak and knowing it will have a positive impact. Or simply editing a couple of random things and hoping for the best. So how can you implement a data-driven approach? Two ways. Let’s start with option #1:  Measure what can be measured, and make measurable what can not be measured. - Galileo The first way is to take Galileo’s advice (unexpected, right?) and start tracking. Go through all your pages — set up Google Analytics — and do the analysis yourself. You’ll quickly find that different pages tell different stories with your data. For example:  - Your new visitors are not subscribing to your email list because you don’t have a landing page that describes your brand, background, and services.  - Your existing leads are not buying your new products because you don’t have a landing page only for those people that show everything about your new offer.  - Or you’re launching multiple products and want past customers to try them, but after the purchase, you’re not sending cross-selling emails. Once you start digging through the data, it can be exciting and scary. Exciting because of all the possibilities to generate more revenue. But scary because the workload continues to grow with every new data-driven idea. Now here’s the best news. With option #2, you can spend as little as a few minutes per week on your data. The rest of your time can be spent on other high-leverage business activities. And you’ll be able to relax knowing your pages are converting better than before. This second approach is one that’s easy to emulate. So if you’ve ever thought, I wish I could have high-converting landing pages without doing all the work myself… then check this out.  My digital agency, Single Grain, will put together a FREE plan for your business that includes how to optimize your landing page It’s a free marketing plan modeled after all our successful high-converting landing pages and tailor-made for your business.
