Tech CEOs define AI's role in cybersecurity [Live today! Join us at Supercloud 3]( Supercloud 3, presented by theCUBE and SiliconANGLE, will bring together a community of cybersecurity experts, practitioners, technologists and thought leaders to explore the impact of AI and other technologies on cloud security. Supercloud – the abstraction layer we've defined for cross-cloud applications that resides above and across hyperscale infrastructure – requires new thinking about cybersecurity. [Featured speakers]( including [Aviatrix CEO]( Merritt]( [Cloudflare CEO]( Prince]( [CrowdStrike CEO]( Kurtz]( [VMware CTO]( Colbert]( [NetApp CSO]( Cote]( [Dell Technologies CTO]( Roese]( [Zscaler CEO]( Chaudhry]( and [Okta CIO]( Antar]( will explore what’s happening now and what comes next, especially as new generative AI models provide new promise and new perils. Here’s a sampling of topics you'll find on our [agenda](  . - Top trends in cybersecurity    - The impact of ChatGPT and other generative AI models on cybersecurity in the cloud, the supercloud and hybrid cloud   - How best to handle authentication and IAM in cross-cloud and supercloud environments   - How to secure cross-cloud and serverless applications   - Privacy implications of supercloud architectures   -  How will endpoints at the edge be secured in a Supercloud?   - Hear from Silicon Valley's leading experts and business leaders what the future of cloud security will bring [Join the Supercloud convo today!]( [AI won’t be a winner-takes-all market]( The global sensation caused by artificial intelligence has once again brought the machine intelligence sector to the forefront.   Looking beyond the exaggerated media attention, the data reveals that AI has become the leading sector in terms of relative spending velocity according to the taxonomy detailed by Enterprise Technology Research. Typically, market hype precedes actual deployments, but the data indicates that spending activity and market penetration for AI are aligning with the hype. While large-scale cloud providers are benefiting greatly from this trend, we believe that it will have a positive impact on all AI ventures, including those that are more discreet and less apparent.   In this week's Analysis]( theCUBE analyst Dave Vellante digs deeper into the AI market with spending data from ETR and one of the best minds in tech, and AI specifically, Jeff Jonas, founder, chief executive and chief scientist at Senzing, a provider of an entity resolution AI that finds hidden connections among data.   Integration of diverse data: Unlocking the potential for solutions   “I think the really big thing that’s happening is integrating diverse data. The fact that I can go to ChatGPT and ask for a board agenda and then have it reduce it to a rhyme and then reduce that to a haiku is because it’s been trained over such diverse data,” Jonas said. “But it’s this collection of technologies to integrate diverse data that I think’s really going to accelerate what’s happening in personalized medicine, improvements to climate change.”   For more from Jonas and Vellante’s analysis of the latest on AI in the market, check out the full Breaking Analysis episode [here](. [Get the full report]( [Week in review: Struggling economy, Lina Khan and AI-generated content]( In this week’s Pod]( theCUBE analysts John Furrier and Dave Vellante discuss the challenges in the tech industry, such as the struggling economy and decreased startup funding, with venture capitalists trying to offload underperforming companies.   Furrier and Vellante also touch upon various news topics, including court rulings on Microsoft's acquisition and the alleged need for rescuing Broadcom/VMware. The impact of the Federal Trade Commission's actions and the lack of tech understanding in certain areas was also discussed, making it another challenging week for FTC Chair Lina Khan. In addition to speaking about the success of the Threads app, which has surpassed expectations by hitting 100 million users, Furrier and Vellante speculate on the future of Twitter and Instagram, as well as the growing influence of AI-generated content and the potential disruption it may cause in industries such as Hollywood. Tech oversight in the free market  “Sometimes, you’ve got to let the free market do its thing,” Furrier said. “I’m not saying don’t have oversight. If anything, I think tech needs to have more oversight. Or not oversight — more understanding, holistically, as it hits all aspects of our lives.”   Learn more about the latest in the FTC’s recent actions and Furrier’s and Vellante’s thoughts on the future of Twitter, Instagram and AI-generated content.
