theCUBE Breaking Analysis + upcoming broadcasts [Even cloud isn't immune to the seesaw economy]( “Welcome to the seesaw economy,” is how Dave Vellante opens week’s Breaking Analysis feature]( which examines the ups and downs of the cloud computing market. Just week]( Vellante shared his view that despite deteriorating spend there were positive signs on the tech market horizon. This week, his outlook is more somber. “The Fed-induced fire that prompted a rally in tech is being purposely extinguished by that same Fed, and virtually every sector of the tech industry is having to reset its expectations – including the cloud,” he states. Digging into earnings from AWS, Azure and GCP Taking data from ETR and company earnings reports, Vellante updates the hyperscale IaaS numbers and gives the takeaway: “Cloud customers are doing more with less (or the same).” Historical cloud growth is compared with the current slowing rates, and Vellante provides an in-depth performance analysis of the big three cloud providers. Looking forward to “an interesting Q4,” Vellante sees headwinds continuing to affect the overall IT market as long as global economies remain unstable. “The visibility from tech companies is still murky as most are guiding down, which indicates that their conservative outlook last quarter was still too optimistic,” he writes. It’s a time to play the long game, with current investments in cloud looking to pay off further down the road, according to Vellante. “It’s likely the best is yet to come,” he states.
