August 21 2018 Greetings! Wikibon's Bi-weekly Newsletter brings you the timely research and insights that drive intelligent pivots and long term planning. [@WIKIBON]( We want to hear from you. Give us your thoughts about a piece of research, engage an analyst, or come meet some our team at the shows below. Greetings! Hope that everyone found some time for R&R over the summer. I'm sure many of you have been gearing up for VMworld, one of our first, and always one of our favorite shows of the year. Ahead of the show, the Wikibon team just published the update to our True Private Cloud Research. This report is one piece of our cloud research, it includes market share for on-premises true private cloud (manufacturer view), hosted true private cloud, and true private cloud ecosystem (software with pul-through). Clients can access the report below, or contact [Jackie Sampson](mailto:jackie.sampson@siliconangle.com?subject=Discuss%20True%20Private%20Cloud%20at%20VMworld) to meet with the team at VMworld to discuss the findings. Come see our team at the Broadcast Booth in the VMvillage, or watch 3 days of live coverage (and replays) on [theCUBE.net](. Hope to see you at VMworld, or one of our other [upcoming events](. Best Regards, Stu Miniman Wikibon Sr Analyst & Co-Host of theCUBE [] [Wikibon's 2018 True Private Cloud Forecast and Market Shares]( by our Lead Analysts The True Private Cloud (TPC) segment of the cloud market is a natural consequence of the global migration to cloud operating models. Data that can't, or shouldn't, be moved to public clouds will be computed on TPC platforms, which leverage and integrate with cloud technologies on-premises or near premises. The TPC market will continue to accelerate, attracting all major cloud players, resulting in a highly dynamic market through the next decade. Wikibon has been predicting the emergence of a distinct True Private Cloud (TPC) segment of the cloud market since 2015. Our reasoning was simple: As business adopted data-first business strategies - the basis for digital business transformation - they would begin organizing cloud-based business systems around natural patterns of data placement. Latency, bandwidth, IP protection, regulation, ingest/egest costs - all constrain cloud options. As we've stated, the long-term industry trend will not be to move all data to the public cloud, but to move the cloud experience to the data. Flesch reading score measures how complex a text is. The lower the score, the more difficult the text is to read. The Flesch readability score uses the average length of your sentences (measured by the number of words) and the average number of syllables per word in an equation to calculate the reading ease. Text with a very high Flesch reading ease score (about 100) is straightforward and easy to read, with short sentences and no words of more than two syllables.
