Hello THINX fam :) Welcome to 2017! As my belly continues to grow with a little happy baby inside, I have been thinking a lot about the environment this cutie will grow up in. At the rate of waste that we are creating, there will be more plastic in the ocean than fish by 2050. A few weeks ago, we met with the NYC Dept of Sanitation and they talked about plastic bags and glass n' plastic bottles as the biggest waste creators for our cities. They are also trying to figure out how to ban wet wipes because they do not flush and wreak havoc on our sewage pipes and the environment (and no, the "biodegradable" ones are not really biodegradable). They also expressed that plastic tampons and pads are a problem too. 20 billion plastic tampon applicators, pads and menstrual products end up in a landfill every year. Over 170,000 tampons were collected along the east coast beaches in a single year. They are so rampant on beaches that they are referred to as "beach whistles". So, to play our part, I am so so thrilled to announce that we have a new patented invention that will help solve this and still give you the ease of using a product that you are familiar with. Some of us are not quite ready to use a menstrual cup and for others, THINX undies might not be enough for our gushy heavy days, so this invention is the perfect backup to THINX for just that.  To find out what it is, please watch [this video] :-) It's been *2 years* in the making so we hope you enjoy it! May we think sustainably this year and understand the ramifications of buying disposables. Let's carry water bottles! Let's use [bidets]instead of using toilet paper! Let's bring our own shopping bags when we shop! Let's use THINX and reusable products whenever possible! Every single thing we do counts! Thank you! Flesch reading score measures how complex a text is. The lower the score, the more difficult the text is to read. The Flesch readability score uses the average length of your sentences (measured by the number of words) and the average number of syllables per word in an equation to calculate the reading ease. Text with a very high Flesch reading ease score (about 100) is straightforward and easy to read, with short sentences and no words of more than two syllables. Usually, a reading ease score of 60-70 is considered acceptable/normal for web copy.
