Hereâs the thing: It's never good to miss a goal, but this is a particularly worrisome time. Donald Trump just personally attacked me on Truth Social, and the GOP is outspending us nearly 2:1 on TV as they flood the airwaves with attack ads against me. Right now, they're spending more money in Ohio this fall than in any other Senate race, and we're at risk of being completely drowned out if we continue to be outspent. The GOP knows that control of the Senate hinges on what happens in Ohio, so they're putting everything they have into defeating me this fall. That's why we really need to dig deep and put everything weâve got into defending my must-win seat and keeping the Senate blue. It might be hard to believe, but the resources we raise now â not in November â will have the biggest impact on our ability to win this race.
