I'm reaching out personally, because like you, this race is important to me and a lot has happened in the last month. We officially have an opponent – self-funding GOP millionaire Bernie Moreno – and he's a real piece of work. To start, he's got the support of the entire MAGA machine, including Donald Trump, Ted Cruz, and Jim Jordan. Trump even joined Moreno on the campaign trail, held a massive rally to fire up the GOP base, and let him throw a lavish fundraiser at Mar-a-Lago. Everything Trump and his MAGA allies are doing is designed to fire up their dark money megadonors and ensure a flood of money into Moreno's campaign. This is in addition to the $4.5 million of his own cash Moreno has already spent to try and buy this Senate seat. And on top of that, Mitch McConnell and his allies have promised to spend $83 million here in Ohio. That’s … A LOT of money. And there's a reason why these forces are lining up behind Moreno: If he wins this race, he'll fall right in line with the MAGA agenda – from passing a national abortion ban to cutting taxes for his wealthy friends. We can't let that happen, but while Moreno is counting on his megadonor friends to help him try to buy this seat, Sherrod is committed to running a grassroots operation fueled by folks like you, friend. I know a donation of $5 might not seem like much in comparison to the GOP's millions – but if you join the thousands of grassroots folks who've already given $5 this week, we'll be on track to meet our critical midnight fundraising goal and have the resources it takes to fight back and win. [So please, will you chip in $5 ahead of our midnight fundraising deadline so we can win in Ohio and keep Sherrod in the Senate? Every dollar matters in our fight against the MAGA agenda and gets us closer to defending our Democratic majority.]( Thank you, Rachel Campaign Manager This email was sent to {EMAIL}.
