The Gist: According to the Institute of Transportation (published on April 4th), everyday citizens are cycling to and from suburbs of Paris to the city center — thanks to public infrastructure of cycling paths. Nearly 1/4th of US energy comes from renewable energy! The Gist: Sun and wind energy now make up the most growth in renewable energy, so much so that now 1/4 of all our used energy comes from renewable sources. The Gist: Coal is down, and solar is up! 3.26 million megawatt-hours (MWh) vs. 2.96 million MWh. New policy saves more Tasmanian giant trees. The Gist: Tasmania has massive trees! (like bigger than dinosaurs, massive). Trees that measure 4 meters in diameter are safe from logging, as opposed to the 5 meters that it previously was. These turtles are treated for cold-related issues do to ocean temperatures. Once treated, they are moved and released in Georgia.
