We all have something that we love to do in our free time, but have you ever considered building your whole life around it? One man in Oklahoma did just that, and it's a heartwarming story. Meet Paul Phillips, a contractor in Skiatook who has built countless homes in his career. But he always dreamed of building a home that would allow him to practice his favorite hobby anytime he wanted - fishing! Paul had a favorite spot on Lake Oologah where he would spend hours fishing, but sadly he was told he couldn't fish there anymore. As a workaround, he decided to build his own place where no one could tell him he couldn't fish. Paul bought a piece of land, rented a backhoe, and dug his own personal pond. He then found a contractor to help him build his dream home, which is about 1,850 square feet with three bedrooms, bathrooms, and a big living room. But the living room has a twist - it has a large hole in the floor right by the fireplace so he can drop a fishing line in the pond from the comfort of his own home! Paul's dedication to his hobby has amazed his neighbors, and he plans to eventually sell his current home and upgrade to a bigger house with an even bigger pond. It's inspiring to see someone so passionate about something that they're willing to build their whole life around it. So, what's your hobby? Have you ever considered taking it to the next level and building your life around it? Paul is proof that anything is possible if you have the dedication and passion for it. We can all learn a lesson from him and chase after our dreams. Keep on fishing, Paul! To share their story, the couple created a YouTube channel called ‘On The Way’. This remarkable accomplishment was achieved through a process called “elimination communication". Here, the parents pay close attention to their baby's cues when they need to go to the bathroom and take them there accordingly. After just one day of closely following this method, Blue began looking at either mom or dad whenever she needed to go. “Babies are born with absolutely no preconceived knowledge of how to go to the bathroom and so if we don’t teach them to go in their nappy, then we don’t have to unteach them," said Montana. Through this approach, it’s possible for babies like Blue to form healthy associations with intimate areas while avoiding any sense of shame or disassociation later on in life. Elimination communication has been gaining traction as an ideal way for parents and babies alike as it keeps both parties clean and comfortable. It also strengthens bonds between parents and babies while helping kids gain self-esteem early on. Although it requires dedication and time, Blue's parents proved that even a short amount of time can be enough for success - all they needed was one day! Montana concluded: “Our baby hasn’t poo’d in a nappy since she was 2 weeks old because we do Elimination Communication (EC). There are many reasons and ways to start your EC journey and it all starts with learning more about it – we hope this video helps!” Through sharing their parenting journey, Montana Lower and Tom Lindwood have set a great example for other parents looking for an effective way of raising children.
