This week: missing dog wins dog show, discipling dog pups, and home sweet home [View this email in your browser]( Hey everyone, Happy hump day! We've got some hilarious and heartwarming stories for you this week. Let's dive straight in! This Week's Top Stories [:newspaper:] ANIMALS [Missing dog returns home with 3rd place prize from dog show]( Peter and Paula were worried sick when their beloved pup, Bonnie, got lost one Sunday. But as it turned out, the strong and healthy five-year-old Beagle mix had been off having a grand time! When she eventually came bounding home later that day with a yellow ribbon around her neck, they found out that their darling doggo had hilariously won 3rd place in a dog show! What had happened? John Wilmer stumbled upon the friendly Beagle mix on his way to a dog show in Surrey. Although John assumed the dog was lost, he was running very late and had the brilliant idea to bring Bonnie with him and enter her into the show while he watched over her because...why not? John was rushing to get ready for the show, but still took time out of his schedule to post about finding Bonnie! By chance, Peter and Paula stumbled across John’s Facebook post and were relieved to know that their four-legged friend was safe and sound. And as if things couldn't be any better for this adorable family reunion, Bonnie came bearing gifts: a 3rd-place ribbon from the contest for "Best Rescue Dog!" Although the 3rd place prize was a pleasant surprise, Peter and Paula are much more cautious with Bonnie now. It's always a shock when your beloved pet disappears. However, given Bonnie's apparent interest in dog shows, next time Peter and Paula may chaperone her there themselves! Even the cutest of puppies can be a handful. Just ask these two little troublemakers! Wrestling around is all part of learning boundaries within a dog pack, but things got a bit out of hand and intervention was necessary! That's life with pups: they may look adorable but they sure are sassy! Lucy and Milo may be two of the cutest pups around, but even their adorable antics couldn't keep them out of trouble. After a wild play-fight session on the floor blankets, Mama Labrador had enough. They played too rough on the family blanket and their mom knew it was time for some parental guidance. Despite endless rounds of paw punches being thrown back and forth between the two little ones - who were just too cute while they tussled - Mom had no choice but to step in and put an end to all that mischief. Mama Labrador was at her wits' end! She had tried everything - from being nice to light nips on the behind, but nothing got through the naughty pups' thick skulls. But when they barked back in defiance? That did it! Mama Dog immediately took action with a furious bark and adopted a stern demeanor. No one messes with Mom! The two young pups learned an important lesson: when Mom's angry, pay attention! With heads bowed to the floor, they remembered who's boss. And as for Mama herself? Well, let’s just say she managed this situation with all the grace and wisdom (not to mention strictness) we expect from our parental figures. Mama Labrador even glanced at her owner, almost as if to say, “I’m so ashamed that you had to see this, but please let me handle this myself.” [(Click here to watch the full story)]( [(Join the Facebook discussion here)]( SMILES [Susan Boyle remodels her childhood home and gives a peek inside]( Susan Boyle took the world by storm when she first sang “I Dreamed a Dream” on Britain's Got Talent. She has since sold 25 million albums, toured around the globe, and received two Grammy nominations. Most importantly, her remarkable success hasn't changed her one bit! Despite being able to live anywhere in the world, Susan continues to reside where it all began: her own childhood home in Scotland. Susan was one of nine siblings and she shared a room with two sisters. Although her house wasn't spacious, her sentiment ran deep. Fast forward to when Susan received her first check from her record label, guess what she did? She bought back the childhood home and proceeded to splurge on giving it a fabulous makeover! Susan is living proof that the past can be transformed into something totally new and breathtaking. Every morning, she gets ready in a dressing room filled with fond memories. In this home tour video, Susan wowed us all by taking us to one of her favorite spaces, an adorable piano room (even if she can't play scales)! From there, we moved on to what might just be the most important part of every house: the kitchen. It was small but modernized beautifully - it's even got a picture of her and Pope Francis! Family is clearly an important part of Susan's life. Even though she has a busy lifestyle (being away on tour most of the year), it seems that building homely touches into all corners - like the adorable nicknacks scattered throughout - was worth every minute for her. “Some people seem surprised that I choose to stay in my family home. Why shouldn’t I? I feel Mum is still here and there are so many good memories … I’ve spent most of my life in this house and I won’t move now, because I feel it’s part of my new history," says Susan.
