[Great Dane melts hearts with adorable âdriveway greetingâ for mom](
Great Danes are the gentle giants of dogs with hearts as big as their size. Standing at an impressive 32 inches and even taller when they stand on two legs, these majestic creatures have a smooth gait that is nothing short of regal. But don't let its sweet nature fool you - Great Danes make excellent guard dogs due to their intimidating stature and protective instinct. However, with kids especially, they show incredible patience while being people pleasers. Theyâll win you over with one look! After a long day, there's nothing better than coming home to your beloved pup. For this woman and her Great Dane rescue pup, the excitement is palpable - his tail wags fiercely as soon as he spots her car pulling up outside. He practically blocks off the driveway with how excited he gets! And from what we can tell just by watching their special reunion ritual, it looks like she loves that joyful greeting at least every bit much as him! If you're looking for unconditional love, a rescued animal is an unbeatable companion. Not only do they know their life has been saved - but oftentimes the human ends up feeling like they were rescued! Several commenters shared warm memories of owning Great Danes. One in particular recalls, "having the privilege to care for one was truly my greatest joy." [(Full video)](

[Chimpanzee mama melts hearts reuniting with baby after two days apart](
After an intense battle, Kucheza â which translates to "play" in Swahili â emerged victorious! This newborn chimpanzee is a testament to triumph against all odds at the Sedwick County Zoo in Wichita. As the mother chimpanzee Mahale went into labor early one morning, zookeeper Devin Turner was there every step of the way supporting her through complications that eventually required an emergency C-section. It's thanks to Turner's dedication and care along with others on staff that little Kucheza not only survived, but also managed to thrive after this difficult start to life. Kucheza pulled through with dedicated around-the-clock care. Oxygen treatments and bottle feedings saved her life. Tuesday gave them hope; Thursday showed their joy. After one too many heartbreaks (a stillbirth in 2019), this precious victory was an incredible reminder of why they do it all for these amazing creatures. Mahale's heartwarming reunion with her baby was captured in an incredibly moving video. The 28-year-old chimpanzee mother rushed to the bundle on the cushion as soon as she saw it move and embraced it with overwhelming emotion, whimpering while holding her precious little one close to her heart. We were struck with sadness imagining how helplessly worried she must have been during this separation. [(Full video)](

[Studies suggest that having a sister is beneficial for your mental health](
It's no secret that siblings are both a blessing and a curse. When you're kids, it could be an ongoing battle over the TV remote or who deserves the best Christmas present, not to mention all of those petty arguments afterward! No matter how much you bicker with your sister, love is still a powerful bond - and science backs it up! According to the results of a 2010 study (395 families aged between 10-14 were observed) conducted at Brigham Young University and published in the Journal of Family Psychology, having a sister can lead to an improved mental & emotional state. Argue away, but donât forget who has all that scientific data backing them upâ¦your sister! Having a sister is like having your own personal cheerleader, support system, and conflict-resolver in one! Research shows that sisters can help siblings feel more secure, develop better mental health habits and even foster an ability to work through conflicts. Age gaps also don't seem to affect these benefits. While it's natural for siblings to clash from time to time, Laura Padilla-Walker, head of the study and professor at Brigham Young University, says "siblings getting into fights helps them learn how to manage their emotions better. [That's an important skill in adulthood]." There are many social benefits too, such as increased empathy, generosity, and selflessness! After all, when we look back on our lives, we wouldn't trade that challenging yet joyous journey with family by our side over anything else...right?
