This week: a "impostor" deer, baby lamb wants scratches, and an 8x15 ft apartment [View this email in your browser]( Hey everybody, Happy Friday! As usual, we're just grateful to be going into the weekend and if your mood needs some improving before it comes around, we've got your back! Head below for some smiles and warm fuzzies.[][:smiling_face_with_3_hearts:] If it's your first time reading or a friend sent this to you, you can [subscribe here](. This Week's Top Stories [:newspaper:] ANIMALS [Woman sees deer family crossing road then spots hilarious ‘imposter’]( Some say that in America, you can be whatever you want to be. Apparently, this is true for animals as well! In Fayetteville, Arkansas, there’s a sheep that decided…it wants to be a deer! He regularly hangs out with his deer friends and can be seen prancing around the city with them. Leslie Sherrill did a double-take when she saw the herd crossing the street. She recalls, “That day, I saw the doe run across, and then I just couldn’t figure out what it was. I didn’t know if it was a sheep, I didn’t know if it was a goat, I didn’t know if it was an African safari animal, so most of the time, I was just trying to figure out what I was looking at. [The deer] frolic so pretty, but then the sheep was like, I don’t know, it just was funny because it shook and it couldn’t run as fast.” It was profound experience to witness, seeing the lead deer turn around to deliberately wait for the sheep and check that it was still with the herd. She posted the video in a local Fayetteville Facebook group and discovered that the sheep was a neighborhood favorite. However, it seems no one can agree on the backstory! One person claimed the sheep ran away from a local farm about a year ago and had been living in the wild, reappearing from time to time with his adopted deer family. Another woman claims it was her neighbor’s goat that was with the deer, not a sheep. A third claimed it was her neighbor’s sheep named Isaac. Regardless of the sheep really is, it’s safe to safe that he’s loved, included, and protected by being with his deer friends! [(Full video)]( ANIMALS [Adorable baby lamb politely asks owner for ‘attention’]( It seems that when it comes down to it, most animals just want the same things: pets and cuddles! Ever seen a baby lamb “hoof” you to pet it?! Lee Walters raises a bunch of sheep and experiences this cuteness on a regular basis. On a regular day, Lee was lying on the grass and taking a break from the day’s work when one of his spring lambs (a lamb less than 3 months old) trotted over for some attention. He pets the baby for a while and stopped after a while, leading the lamb to “hoof” him for more pets! Turns out, animals are all the same - you pet them until they’re satisfied, not until you’re exhausted! It’s hilarious how they know how to get exactly what they want, leveraging the full powers of their cuteness and adorability. Lee explains that they normally don’t seek out this type of attention and are usually full of energy, preferring to run around the farm and have fun. On certain days though, they will be more timid and stop by for some affection. These lambs are just too cute! [(Full video)]( SMILES [She lives in a 8x15 feet mini-apartment…and she rocks it!]( Everyone knows that living in New York City costs an arm and a leg these days. There’s no shortage of individuals getting creative with their solutions, and their determination to live in their dream city is truly inspiring. One woman, Alaina Randazzo, lives in Midtown Manhattan in an apartment that’s the size of a large walk-in closet. Her smart use of space and minimalist lifestyle make it possible, but visualize a space that’s 8x15 feet (yes, we know she said 80 x 150 in the video). Her room could be smaller than the living room of some multi-bedroom family homes! Alaina gives a tour of the space, showing just how she’s optimized for every nook and cranny. The space consists of a stovetop, a loveseat, a TV mounted on the wall, and a tiny corner on the wall for shelves. Above, there’s a half-sized loft where she sleeps, but it’s so low that she can’t even sit with her back straight! There’s no window, but she’s happy with the skylight that’s directly above her. All of this runs her for about $650 a month, meaning she’s saving a couple thousand each month compared to standard apartments in the same area. We’re impressed at her resilience and determination to make the space work for her, allowing her to pursue a life in NYC. Regardless of anyone’s personal opinions on the habitability of the space, the important thing is that Alaina is happy, healthy, and literally making it work. Go Alaina!
