She’d been diagnosed with a rare form of cancer that had spread throughout her body. Faced with this harsh reality, Michelle decided she was doing things her way. Determined to celebrate her life with those she cherished most, Michelle organized a “living funeral” in her Singapore home. "I wanted to hear the love and see the faces of my life, not miss the party about me," she explained, as friends and family gathered around her. The setting was carefully crafted with live music and a projector displaying cherished memories. A dining area sat prepared for the communal meal, turning the usually somber atmosphere of a funeral into [a warm celebration]( of life. All of this allowed for an open and heartfelt expression of emotions. Personal tributes were directly addressed to Michelle rather than the customary casket or urn. During the gathering, Michelle openly shared her feelings about her imminent journey. "I don’t want to wait until I’m dead. I only wanted to see my loved ones and my friends. While I’m still alive, I don’t know how much more I can be a friend to them," she said, stirring deep emotions among the attendees. Her heartfelt words encouraged [an evening of genuine connections](. The day was filled with friends reconnecting and sharing their fondest memories of and gratitude for Michelle’s presence in their lives. As the night came to a close, Michelle offered one final gesture—a personal letter to each guest, encapsulating her own gratitude and love. Then, she left them with her parting words: “Death is not scary,” she remarked, “It’s the dying part that makes it terrifying. It’s not the same as death.” These powerful words and her unique farewell fulfilled her wish to say goodbye on her own terms. And what a great goodbye it was. Michelle’s family allowed the [video of her last gathering]( to be shared online where it has already amassed 3.3 million views. And if the comments are any indication, people have Michelle’s fresh take on the old tradition of saying goodbye. Phantom is a massive horse standing 7 feet tall and weighing about 2,000 pounds. Every single pound is as sweet as pie, and that’s why they call him "puppy”. When Teton arrived at the sanctuary, his condition was heart-wrenching. He was old and suffering from years of heartbreaking neglect. Every step was a struggle due to his painful hooves. Yet, it was Phantom who stepped forward as [an unlikely friend and healer](. The gentle giant, though young, embodied the sanctuary’s spirit of kindness and rehabilitation. The friendship between Phantom and Teton grew day by day. Phantom was always by Teton's side, encouraging him to walk a little further and engage a bit more with the vibrant life around them. Phantom's immense presence offered physical support and provided Teton with the confidence and safety he needed to heal. Their interactions were gentle—a nuzzle here, a supportive stance there—showing a profound understanding and empathy between the two giants. As Teton's health improved, so did his spirit. The bond they shared was visible to all who visited the sanctuary, a testament to the emotional depths animals can reach and the healing power of companionship. The once timid Teton eventually transformed, regaining not only his health but also his place as a leader within the herd. [Their video]( is a touching reminder of how a little bit of tenderness can change lives.
