She saw a future home. Without even seeing it in person, she bought the garage online and embarked on a journey to turn it into a three-story home. "Home to vintage fashion stores, hip cocktail bars, and basement clubs," as she puts it, Dalston's vibe was perfect for her vision. Marta named her creation "The Gouse." It's a clever blend of a garage turned into a house, but with all the luxury and modern amenities you could dream of. Despite [the transformation](, she kept the garage's original cedar shingles on the exterior, making it blend with the Victorian-style houses in the neighborhood. "I wanted it to still blend within the neighborhood," Marta shares about her design philosophy. Inside "The Gouse," the creativity really shines. Marta worked magic with the limited space, turning the constraints into innovative design solutions. "Starting off with the house’s main door, we removed the old garage’s wooden door and replaced it with an unnoticeable door," she explains. The house is filled with light, thanks to see-through glass floor sections. It also features a 'living wall' that brings nature indoors. "The atmosphere of the renovated garage definitely strikes a home run for those who love to be near nature while staying at home," Marta says while beaming with pride. In just a few months, she transformed the 45-square-meter garage into a 126-square-meter living space that feels like [a modern mini-mansion](. Marta's favorite touch? The 3rd-floor bathroom boasting a glass ceiling, offering views of the sky. "Whoever uses it would have a fascinating view of the skies during daytime and stars at night," she says. And she wasn’t kidding, either. The way the light pours into the space is absolutely stunning. As the search for Bonnie waned with the snowy onslaught of winter, many gave up hope of finding her. Fortuitously, she stumbled upon a new kind of family. A herd of deer welcomed her into their fold. Her distrust of humans meant that traditional rescue methods were out of the question.
