A note from Sarah Koenig on our new show. Hello Serial listeners! I’m writing to tell you that

A note from Sarah Koenig on our new show. [View this email in your browser]( Hello Serial listeners! I’m writing to tell you that we just launched our new show: [The Improvement Association](. Zoe Chace is the reporter and host. You might know Zoe’s voice from This American Life. She’s the one telling political stories that are so entertaining you forget they’re political stories. (Which I guess tells you what I think of most political stories.) But Zoe’s stories — always a lot of fighting, a lot of strong, specific personalities. They’re fun. And this one’s no different. Also, the timing of it couldn’t be better because it deals with election fraud—or really, accusations of election fraud. The whole thing takes place in a rural county in North Carolina, called Bladen County. And not to get grandiose, but for me, watching what unfolded there over the past ten years was like a portal to understanding our current situation, as a country. I hope you’ll listen, and that you’ll find as compelling as I do. The first episode of [The Improvement Association]( came out this morning. [Listen here]( or wherever you get your podcasts. The Flesch readability score uses the average length of your sentences (measured by the number of words) and the average number of syllables per word in an equation to calculate the reading ease. Text with a very high Flesch reading ease score (about 100) is straightforward and easy to read, with short sentences and no words of more than two syllables. Usually, a reading ease score of 60-70 is considered acceptable/normal for web copy.
